This is our privacy policy.

This policy explains what personal information Zinus AS collects when you use
zinuspower.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

Website statistics

We measure how our website is used – which pages are visited, which documents are
opened, and which sites visitors arrive from. We use Umami, a privacy-focused
analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not build profiles of individual
visitors. The statistics are aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which parts of our
website are useful.

Umami Analytics

Provider: Umami Software, Inc. via Zpirit AS
Purpose: Measures website usage without cookies. Processes the IP address to distinguish visits.
Transferred outside the EEA: No

Server logs

Our web server records the page requested, your IP address and your browser’s user
agent. These logs are used only for troubleshooting and security. They are deleted
at regular intervals, normally every four weeks, and only the operators of the web
server have access to them.

When you contact us

If you fill in a form, send us an inquiry or email us, we store what you send us –
typically your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your
message. We use it to answer you and to follow up on the matter you raised.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries, or the steps
needed before entering into a contract with you.

When you download a document

Some documents, such as product sheets, ask for an email address before they open.
We store your email address, which document you requested, and the date and time.
We do not store your name, company or IP address with this record.

We use this to see which documents are in demand. If you tick the box asking us to
contact you, we also use your address to follow up about that product.

Ticking the box is voluntary. The document opens either way, and we do not send
marketing to anyone who has not ticked it. You can withdraw your consent at any
time by emailing us, and we will stop contacting you and delete your address.

Job applications

If you apply for a position with us, we store your application and any attachments
for as long as the recruitment process lasts. We delete them afterwards unless you
have agreed that we may keep them on file.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use only the cookies that
are necessary for this website to work – they keep forms functioning and remember
choices you have made while browsing. Because the website cannot work without them,
they are set without asking for consent.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Our website statistics do not use cookies at all.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may stop parts
of the website from working.

How long we keep information

  • Server logs: normally four weeks
  • Download records: 12 months, then deleted
  • Email addresses where you have asked to be contacted: for as long as we are in
contact with you about the product, and deleted when that contact ends or when
    you ask us to
  • Inquiries and correspondence: for as long as needed to handle the matter and any
    resulting customer relationship
  • Website statistics: kept in aggregated form, which does not identify anyone

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the
suppliers who operate our systems on our behalf. These are bound by agreements that
allow them to process the information only as instructed by us. They include our
web supplier, who hosts and maintains this website, and our email and IT providers.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
  • have incorrect information corrected
  • have your information deleted
  • ask us to restrict or stop processing it
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • receive information you have given us in a portable format
  • withdraw consent you have given, at any time

To use any of these rights, email us at  and write “Privacy request” in the subject line. We answer within 30 days.

If you believe we handle your personal information incorrectly, you may complain to
the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our systems or our use of personal information change.
The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
