Zinus AS is proud to announce the award of its first-ever contract in Australia, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion. The contract has been awarded by UGL Transport with the end customer being Transport for NSW (New South Wales), for an installation at the iconic Barangaroo Wharf in Sydney.

The project represents Zinus’ entry into a new and strategically important market with substantial long-term potential for electrification and sustainable infrastructure. Delivering a landmark installation in one of the world’s most recognizable harbour areas further underlines the importance of this achievement for the company.

Under the contract, Zinus will deliver its fully autonomous DC Charging Tower, the ZPP800. The ZPP800 is designed to provide reliable, efficient, and future-ready charging infrastructure, supporting the growing demand for electrified transport solutions in urban and maritime environments.

“This contract is a major milestone for Zinus,” said Mr. Geir Arne Bjørkelund, Sales Manager at Zinus AS. “Entering the Australian market is an important strategic step for us, and doing so through a high-profile project at Barangaroo Wharf makes it even more special. We are proud that our ZPP800 solution has been selected for such a landmark installation and look forward to supporting Transport for NSW and UGL with a robust and innovative charging solution.”

Mr. Darek Koper, Project Director eMobility at UGL Transport, commented:
“UGL is pleased to be working with Zinus on this important project for Transport for NSW. The ZPP800 charging tower offers a compelling combination of autonomy, performance, and suitability for complex, high-visibility locations like Barangaroo Wharf. We look forward to a successful collaboration that supports the continued rollout of eMobility infrastructure in New South Wales.”

The Barangaroo Wharf installation is expected to serve as a reference project for Zinus in Australia, demonstrating the capabilities of its technology in demanding, real-world environments and paving the way for future opportunities across the region.
