Zinus Secures Two Major Contracts for High Voltage Cable Management Systems with Baltic Key Ports.

Newly released SPP800 high voltage cable management systems (CMS)

Zinus, a global leader in sustainable shore power solutions, is proud to announce the award of two first-offs contracts for the delivery of its newly released SPP800 high voltage cable management systems (CMS) in the ports of Trelleborg, Sweden, and Klaipeda, Lithuania.

Port of Trelleborg, Sweden

Zinus has been selected by Actemium Electro AB, a leading Swedish electrical contractor with more than 30 reference projects since 2010, to supply two high voltage cable management systems for Ro-pax ferries. These CMS units, designed in accordance with IEC 80005-1, Annex B, will be utilized by TT-Line, one of the key ferry operators in the region. The installation of Zinus’ cutting-edge technology will enhance port efficiency and contribute to sustainable maritime operations.

Port of Klaipeda, Lithuania

In addition, Zinus has secured a contract with BLRT ERA AS, an Estonian engineering and ship repair company, for the delivery of four high voltage cable management systems for Ropax ferries. These CMS units, also compliant with IEC 80005-1, Annex B, will be deployed to service vessels operated by DFDS and TT-Line.

With TT-Line operating on the Trelleborg-Klaipeda route, the company will now benefit from Zinus’ advanced shore power solutions at both ends of its operations, reinforcing a commitment to reducing emissions and increasing energy efficiency in the Baltic Sea region.

Industry-Leading Innovation: SPP800 High Voltage Tower

Commenting on the contracts, Zinus’ Sales Manager Klaus Kopelman stated:

“These are the first two contracts for our new SPP800 High Voltage Tower solution, a product specifically designed for the RoRo segment, and we are thrilled to be installing six towers—two on the Swedish side of the Baltic Sea and four on the Lithuanian side. This marks a significant milestone for Zinus as we continue to provide cutting-edge shore power solutions that drive sustainability and operational efficiency in maritime transport.”

Commitment to Sustainable Maritime Solutions

Zinus’ advanced cable management systems play a crucial role in the electrification of ports, enabling vessels to connect to shore power and significantly reduce emissions while docked. The adoption of these solutions by key players such as Actemium and BLRT ERA underscores the industry’s commitment to greener shipping and the transition towards a more sustainable future.
